Content Mapper lets anyone create and publish XML content using MS Word. No XML knowledge needed.

How It Works

Content Mapper integrates with the Microsoft Word API to program schema elements in the application, updating the user interface. As authors work in MS Word, their content is seamlessly transformed to XML. Authors never see the XML and are free to focus on creating great content.

The screenshots below demonstrate how the user interface in MS Word changes based on the location of the author's cursor.

Content Mapper UI

Here the author's cursor is in a paragraph element, so the user interface in the top ribbon is allowing the use of paragraph elements, including bullet point and numbered lists.

Content Mapper UI

Here the author's cursor is in a title element, so the user interface in the top ribbon is disallowing certain elements that are only meant to be used in paragraph elements. The author will notice that they cannot use these elements because they are greyed out and unavailable.
